I don't know the comic either but this should be really, really interesting. I have never seen anything like the style of this movie, in fact, has anything comparable been made?

I'm really curious about this one-I love Frank's work-especially Dark Knight Returns, so I'm hoping it's as good as it's promising to be.

I re-read "Dark Knight Returns" every few years or so. I really think they should adapt it into a film. Did you read the sequal "The Dark Knight Strikes Back?" It's not quite as riveting, but still a damn fine piece of art.

It needs to be turned into a film, it always reads like a storyboard with text to me, just waiting for an adaptation. There's a film and sequel ready right there-as long as it isn't ruined by Hollywood. I get the feeling Hollywood is more interested in ruining an original work than applying an interesting take on an existing character.

It's a darker take with Batman many years down the road, probably my favorite take on Batman ever. The same team worked on both-Strikes Again I believe was in 2000, or around then.

Personally, I think The Dark Knight Strikes Again is crap. Miller's major failure in an otherwise stellar career. He got paid $2 million to do it, upfront, and it was obvious he took the money and ran. The art was half-assed, and the story was sooooo weak. Hell, the ending of it was ripped-off from Batman Beyond: Return Of The Joker As for Sin City, I'll be shocked if this film isn't superb. Rodriguez has taken his time with this one, brought Miller in to co-direct and oversee the project, and hired the right cast (and, he's also had Tarantino direct a segment, although QT has chosen to leave his name out of the main credits). The comic series is fantastic, and it looks like the film will do it justice. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

I have to (grudgingly) admit the trailer looks decent, HOWEVER, I'm still pissed about the casting. Taking the cynical, ENGLISH bastard that is John Constantine & making him American is just wrong! Casting Keanu is beyond wrong!! Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)
