Hey,
I was wondering, has anybody here ever bought an essay online? If so, what was the quality of it? Did you recieve a good grade for it?

I've got a criminology essay to hand in next week

Q: is cybercrime different from other crime?


Due to ilness in my family i don't think that i will have enough time to do it. Should i consider buying one online? I can present my case why i can't do it to the examination board but that could turn out unfavourable.

Any opinions? stories about essays which you have bought?

Can you talk to your prof about the illness? If there are mitigating factors an extension is certainly possible.

I'm not sure what the likelihood of getting caught is, but all I know is they're very good at detecting it (busted over a dozen people at my university this year).

What do you teach,Voicescarry? and how did you detect a bogus essay?

They have multiple programs that are basically like a database of every essay they can get their hands on (including most of the for-$-on-the-web ones). Even students can now have their essays added to the program to prevent the same essay from being used twice - without their permission. If they suspect you're cheating all they have to do is scan the thing in, and ask the program to look for similarities. There are actually companies (at least in Canada) that handle the administration of such programs.

Hey man, how long does the essay have to be? I would give it a shot if it doesn't have to be too long. Spend the time on the org on your essay and make the best out of it. If it works out, you'll be so proud of yourself.

I've written the last 50 pages of my final dissertation in ten days. My grandparents were both in hospital and my parents were in the heat of their awful divorce. And much more. Anyway, I did it, and eight months later I'm still proud of it.

You have to decide for yourself of course. It depends also on how creative you're allowed to do, or the amount of research that is needed. Still, I would really give it a try !

(and I wouldn't trust the quality of those online papers. Read one once, and it was awful)

There's a search engine specifically for spotting plagiarism. I use it from time to time for the company I work for, to catch people who are ripping off portions of our web site. I can't recall the address of the top of my head, but it's just one of many tools available to educators nowdays to spot stuff like this.

5-6 years ago, you might have been able to get away with it, but I wouldn't recommend it at all nowdays. I did attempt this once like back in 96, and the paper I bought was so awful, I had to write it on my own anyhow.

well while your on this thread you could be doing your essay. Take your time and talk to whomever you need to talk to. i'm sure they'll work something out so don't cheat as close as you are it's really not worth it.
