How prominent is it?
Me, I guess I have a midwest accent...which alot of folks describe as
a "lack of an accent".

I have a bit of a Minnesotan accent, particularly when I've spent too much time with my mom and her side of the family or a certain friend of mine. But it's not very pronounced, nothing like in Fargo.

I have an accent that is all types of English accents from all over the world mixed together.
I've learned my English mostly from TV and movies, so I picked up all kinds of accents and I can't really separate them and know which pronounciation belongs to each accent. So you'll hear me sound like a very cunfused American

I sometimes totally talk like a valley girl.....
When I went to New York I told a sales clerk that I loved her accent. She said that she like mine too. I said "Like, what do you mean." As soon as those words came out of my mouth I realized that I too had an accent.

i have a zelig accent - i kinda adapt to whatever environment i'm living in...from when i lived in southern indiana as a kid, i had a bit of a twang - when i moved to new york, i started picking up a little bit of brooklynese...and now that i'm in chicago, i catch myself lapsing into an occasional chee-kah-goh accent (which i do my best to curtail, because i think chicago accents are about as graceful sounding as a gaggle of geese).

mostly though, i think i have a pretty neutral central indiana non-accent. lots of national newscasters have been picked from local indiana affiliates for that very reason, ya know. i learned that in my oral interp class in college, where i learned how to shave off what little was left of my regional southern indiana twang (which just comes back when i get drunk anyway ).
