Yep. I want to do it in Vegas...I'll rent out a block of rooms for my closest friends and for my family. I won't do the Elvis thing, I would find a nice, small place with an OPEN BAR wink and I'm defintely wearing a red dress with a red veil and I will have a guitar player rip out "here comes the bride". Short but sweet ceremony and a big party after biggrin

But I'll never get married! ahhahahaha!

My cousin & his wife had a masquerade ball...that always seemed appealing to me...just something out of the ordinary, non-traditional. But I have thought of some of the songs I'd like at my reception- no band but just an MC biggrin ...of course I DO have to actually find someone I'd want to marry eek aahhh...details disbelief lol

I like the red dress in Vegas idea thumbs up!
If you have to ask, it's more than worth it.

I've had flashes of it here and there...but, I figure it's probably not going to happen so I don't spend too much time thinking about it.

Of course!!!! I haven't got all the details but here are some rough ideas for the dress and the location (Bloedel Reserve in Maine- I don't know if they're open to events like that, but this is a fantasy after all..)
I am shy and a romantic so I'd want to elope....and somehow still manage to get one of these great dresses and the location... lol

I've thought about maybe having a green dress that would blend in with a lush green background...just because I think you should do something for your wedding that you could never get away with otherwise, and it's unusual. And I have green eyes, and I like the symbolism of green- the new roles in becoming a wife and mother, motherhood requiring nurturing, having this marriage that needs to be nurtured and tended to, etc.

Yeah I've given it some thought giggle

A dress similar to that in that color or maybe tightened up in green

this family of green

or

or this color pink

My makeup would be similar to this

And this is the location

I haven't really thought about that...I guess it would involve Gardenburger meat dishes and stuff....pasta (I have a recipe for amazing pasta), my favorite Tofu dish (Amazing Tofu from a local Thai restaurant- firm tofu soaked in coconut milk, fried, over steamed broccoli, with a mild curry peanut sauce on top and topped with chives). It is Amazing.
Maybe gourmet pizza with lots of mushrooms

All I know for sure is there would be this

and cappucino

Of course there will be lots of Prince music ("I Wish You Heaven"? I have to think about it) and maybe Maroon 5's "Sunday Morning"

Oooh and there would be lots of animals and children somehow... maybe releasing doves or something
And if it weren't so impractical I would want to have it at dawn..to symbolize the beginning of a new time.

Did I mention I would probably wear these shoes?

giggle I haven't even got a boyfriend, that's what makes this whole thing so crazy! And he'll probably want to get married in a church and I'll be all sappy and go "okay honey" and forget about all this but be happy because none of this stuff really matters to me. It's just an ideal

Not that it's gonna be happening anytime soon, but....

a multi-coloured dress

outside

"here comes the bride" on electric guitar

lots of balloons biggrin

All in all, a pretty non-traditional deal.

Not a whole lot. I know of 2 songs I'd like...
cream dress (not white)...
outdoors somewhere, in the evening, summertime...
candles & flowers (don't know what kind, orchids or something)...
no bridesmaids & crap, something simple - a party (not a chore) for us, our friends & family...
cool little party afterward, great food, tropical honeymoon...

sigh

lol
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

I'd recommend to anyone several cross-town trips to various government offices, lots of waiting in queues, signing your name, getting pieces of paper translated, photocopying stuff, having passport pics taken, a real traditional affair, ya know?

I don't see myself ever getting married.

That said, if I did we would definitely elope. Just the 2 of us off on a tropical island or maybe somewhere on the Mediteranean. And no white for me, I look awful in white. Probably black or possibly a pale pink. Quite untraditional.

And then a big party sometime later. Partly cause I love throwing parties, partly cause I'm greedy and want the gifts. I swear, once you reach a certain age and know you're not get married you should be able to have an "I'm not getting married" party and register for fabulous gifts. harrumph. pout

I think every woman has given it some thought, but I personally would prefer to elope headbang

I've been in a few weddings and I don't want the headache of bridesmaids, flowers, food and all that other crap. Too stressful.

I do, however, have a great dress in mind, but that's it

all us girls think about this since the day we were born, its practically drilled into our heads lol

that said, Ive always wanted something small and outside, reception and wedding at the same place, everything rather modest, well other than the dress of course

I would love to get married in Santorini, with my family and closest friends

Nothing flash, simple dress, no bridal party, plenty of food and wine, lots of music and dancing.
