Mostly, it's just such a pain in the ass to have to replace all of the resources/info that I used to carry with me. Some of it (the info I had) required a lot of time and effort to track down. As another social worker, you TOTALLY know what I"m talkin' about. | |

I didn't lose the file, cuz I don't take them out with me. But what I DID lose were my notes about this particular client--my goal sheet of stuff she and I were working on and personal history. I can somewhat replace it, but it's a hassle. I also lost a resource directory that REALLY comes in handy (but replaceable) and some other paperwork. | |

I'm surprised you've had that much trouble in West Seattle. Weird. I've had no theft issues since I've lived here, and I'm near the UDistsrict. The only time my car has been broken into was in Vancouver (it's a '91 Corolla . . .what were they thinking?  ), and they literally couldn't find anything to take. But I thought they were very polite thieves. They broke the little triangle window in the back, which wasn't so bad to drive home without, didn't take anything, and left minimal damage. Even the thieves are better in Canada!

It must be so frustrating having to replace these now, and having to do the hand written notes again. But more than anything it's the violation of your space that is the worst thing. what an arsehole they are.
