When I had my fateful computer crash over the Christmas holidays, one of the programmes I lost was my Nero Burning Programme(I hardly used it anyway!! ), which was also useful with Backing up!! Anyway, the thing is I got the Nero Programme free when I brought this computer as the guy I brought it from installed it for me for nothing!!
Now, I am looking for another Back Up programme as I cant find Nero in www.downloads.com . I have found loads of other Back Up Programmes, but they are al free 2 try, then after the trial I have 2 pay 2 buy it!! Right now we are financially strapped and I dont want 2 use my credit card on buying Programmes right now!!

Can any of u guys recommend 2 me a good FREE Back Up and Burning Programme??

If you're using windows XP, you don't need any other program to burn CDs.
Just drag the files you want to your CD-R icon, then when you explore your CD-R drive, in the File menu, choose "Write these files to CD"

Alas, I am not one of the elite who uses XP, 2000, ME, etc.

I still have Windows 98!!

Try Limewire, soulseek and the likes for Nero... Just make sure you also download the serial number/keygen... you will get the full working version...

I installed InterVideo DiscMaster and when I clicked on the desktop Icon I had 2 register it first, which I did cos it took me 2 the registering page, then I clicked Register, and the page automatically went down and so far nothing has appeared in my mailbox or anything yet, but I went 2 click on the desktop icon again it keeps coming up that in order 2 use this product I have 2 register!! WELL I HAVE DONE THAT!!!!!

There's a free product called DVD Shrink that you could download. You will also need to download the trial version of Nero. Clever little program, is DVD Shrink; it uses the Nero DLL's, so as long as you just download and install the trial version of Nero, but NEVER run it, you'll be able to use DVD Shrink to you're heart's content. If you never run Nero, then the trial period will never begin, and DVD Shrink will be able to use it forever.

But then, that's 2 different products to download. You might be better off taking Jon's suggestion (if you want to stick with Nero) and find a cracked version on limewire, although personally I'd just go for either Deepburner or Burn4Free as suggested by Tom or Heavenly.
