Track, softball, volleyball, I don't know... some other clubs my senior year after I was single for the first time in my life. I truly missed out on all that silly organized stuff due to relationships (supposedly, the serious stuff)
I should pull out my yearbook. Oh NO!

I was way into sport and pretty good at it too.
I was capatain of the Aussie rules football team and captain of the cricket team. I did some athletics and still hold the record for the discus at the school. Other than sport I experimented with alcohol (which goes hand in hand with sport in this country) and was infatuated by girls. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

Wow. I was everywhere in high school.
I was class president freshman year and on student council for sophomore and junior year and co-president of the National Honor Society chapter during senior year. I ran track (middle distance), cross country, and played a half a season of baseball freshman year. I was in the International Club (a club where we learned about the different cultures of those in our school) I was on the Quiz Bowl squad and the Model United Nations team during junior and senior year. I was also an alter boy for a period. (I went to a Catholic highschool) I think Im one of the very few here that had a great highschool experience.

Shades Valley High School Birmingham Alabama Now located further away from the downtown, when I went there it was in a massive building beside adjacent to the Birmingham Zoo. The Building was built in the 50's as a bomb shelter. It was a fun and diverse high school to go to.

Apparently... now that I look back at my book (I totally forgot)... BRAINLESS DORK!
Band for 6 years, Marching Band for four. ~Smile. The organizations I was involved in my Senior year... Student Senate, Spanish Club (I can't even speak Spanish), FHA=Future Homemakers of America , Ladies R-Club=promoted ladies athletics... and the main float artist all four years. I can't believe I don't remember... , I suppose I just threw myself into everything trying to make up for most of my HS lost years.

That's me, front row, second from the left (#74):
I was on the team the entire season, was eventually the punter, though I never punted. I only got in for one play...a player on the defense was injured and nobody else was left but me. The coach sent me in...I had no idea what I was doing. As soon as the other team hiked the ball, my pants fell down. I just pushed forward with one hand against the other team's lineman, my other hand trying to hold my pants up as I did.

My highschool was tiny, I heard it use to be a post office, anyway I played volleyball and that was a few times a month. I went to an all girls school, I didn't mind because the coed schools were violent. I saw a group of guys chase this one guy, but he was too fast for them. It would be sad to get ganged up on
