Boring computer question that I really NEED answered. Please??? Whenever I try and log in to secure sites with a password (eBay, Amazon, Hotmail etc) it comes up with "CANNOT DISPLAY PAGE".
I've checked my Security settings and as far as I can tell (but I'm not too hot on this stuff), everything is okay. This never used to be a problem. Anyone know how to fix this incredibly annoying problem? Thankyou in advance.

Do you somehow have them blocked in your Hosts file? If you are running Windows XP , go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc and look for a file called "hosts". Open it with notepad and see if any of those domain names are listed in it. If so, delete them, save the file, and reboot.
Also, if you are running Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Sites. And take a look to see if any of those domains are on the list.

Thanks for replying.
I'm using Windows 98. Do you know how to do that stuff with Windows 98?

In Windows 98, the hosts file would be located at c:\windows\hosts
