Goodbye Netflix, hello Blockbuster.

I'm making the switch, not only is it cheaper, but their library is better, and you get 2 FREE in store game or movie rentals a month!!!

Sorry Netflix, don't mean to go to the corporate giant, but it's a better deal!

How much is Blockbuster? Last I looked they were twenty-something and Netflix was $17.99? Also, I guestion Blockbusters library being better because I have looked up some obscure shows I have seen on PBS or the History Channel and Netflix had them which amazed me.

Blockbuster sucks. They are flailing. No more late fees....my ass. You have to buy the movie. Their library is getting SMALLER. You can barely find anything obscure...But if you want I-robot well then thee you go. They also censor movies...lets not forget that.

...the other question that I would look into before making the switch is where the wharehouse is that services you. The Netflix warehouse we send our movies to is in Minneapolis so that gives us very fast turnaround where if it were in New Jersey it would add a day to all mailings (there and back).

It's 14.99 guaranteed til jan of 2006. True if you watch alot of OBSCURE stuff, than netflix is prob. better for you. For me, I really don't care about the english dubbed version of Rochelle Rochelle or any other super rare shit that only 1% of the population cares to watch. They pretty much have everything else you could possibly want. Just my opinion on that. The servicing centers are the same distance, at least for me. I don't see any downfall, at least for me. Plus, the 2 free xbox game rentals a month make me and my son HAPPY. So, like I said, FOR ME, the switch is a good move.

Netflix rules. It's only $19 a month and I get more than my money's worth. They have 25,000 vids to choose from, and I love not having to go anywhere to return them. Blockbuster doesn't stock too many of the t.v. show dvds, which is what I most like to rent. I can get recent movies on pay-per-view.

i like criterion and indie movies too much to switch to blockbuster. plus, i don't want my movie selection limited by the religious right, or my films 'edited for decency'. and i'm lazy, and enjoy having my movies delivered to me. razz

other than that - hey! enjoy! thumbs up!

Another advantage, which is sort of the flip side of the same coin: any mailbox will do for your return drop box. This is great while traveling... you rent a DVD, watch it in flight, and toss it in the first mailbox you come across at the airport after landing. Or, if you're staying at a hotel, you can just take the DVD to the front desk and ask them to put it in the outgoing mail.

Blockbuster finally realizes how many customers they've lost and now decides to do away with late fees?

Too late-help kill Blockbuster.
