I just watched "Bend It Like Beckham", which was really good and the word cor or core came up. I hear it every so often. What does it mean? Is it like a word that indicates surprise because that what it seems to mean.

It's the same as "PHWOAR!"

It's rather like a high society-'Woah!'. The word 'cor' is often associated with 'Carry On...' films and cheeky, chirpy Cockneys.
