I just saw "Catwoman"...not that bad!

I don't know why this movie did so poorly and was slammed so harshly. "Daredevil" was 1000 times worse but since it made money, it was said to be as much of failure, although I'm sure most comic book fans think it sucked. Meanwhile, the way "Electra" is going, I don't think it will do much better. HOwever, I highly doubt it will be critcized as harshly as "Catwoman" was. I think part of that might be racial and/or the fact that some people just hate Halle Berry.

Back to the movie, yeah, it had it's problems and should have been darker (like the first two "Batman" movies) but also, Halle gave the movie a humour and heart. She could have been harder and sexier and the movie, frankly, should have been longer and included more of transisation of Halle going from Constance to Catwoman and better transiations (one second Catwoman is in the middle of a room, the next she is out the window...can't show how she got to the point?). I don't think it was a great comic book movie and was hoping for better (a "Catwoman" movie had the potenial of being as good as the "Spiderman" and "Batman" movies, I think) but the movie was good, not the terrible piece of crap everyone made it out to be. What does everyone else think? Did anyone see it in a theather?

I find it funny that you posted that only 10 mintues after I started this thread. Are you trying to intimate people or something? Lame!

Anywho, how many people are familar with Black Cat from "Spiderman". I think that she would eihter make a great addition to the next "Spiderman" movie (I think I've heard that it's a possiblity) or for her to be in her own movie. I'd love to see that. Anyone else.

It's not usually the type of movie I go see, but I loved the leather outfits worn by Halle Berry. giggle

Thank you. It just wasn't that bad and I wouldn't be shocked if some people dug it enough to call it a favorite comic book movie (not me).

Loved it when I saw it at the cinema, and loved it on dvd. nodI love cats, big and small. Catwoman is one of my favourite comic characters anyway. I really liked the fact that they explained origins of the character and that no two 'catwomen' were alike. I think a lot of people were hoping to see Michelle Pfiffer play this role. I also enjoyed the special features on the dvd. Halle did a great job. I hope there's a part 2 because I like the chemistry between her and Benjamin Bratt.

I'd like a part two but I don't see it. The film, in theathers in America and worldwide made $80 million....but cost $100 million (not to mention $40 or so million for marketing, I think). A film has to make double what it costs to break even, so figure not figuring marketing, it had to make $200! I'm sure it will do decently on video/DVD (although I noticed both Blockbuster and Hollywood only devoted two sheleves to it...not a whole case like they do for big hits). I think Michelle Pfiffer would have been awesome in it, even if she is older. She was great in "Batman Returns". Any thoughts on "Black Cat"? She reminds me of Pamela Anderson, but that would suck. Someone with an awesome body would have to do it.

I know that "Catwoman" is the focus of this thread and I think Halle did a good job in it (as opposed to critics, who said the movie was kitty litter) but this I have issues with!

Halle Berry as Foxy Brown?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0411411/

Are they kidding? WHy oh why do they have to remake everything! This is going to be so watered down and PG13. I hope Pam Greir does not give her blessing!

is this still being made? berry has got to be re-evalutating her career at this point....another flob like gothika or catwoman could kill her career....with the people associated with Foxy Brown a hit it doesnt not smell of...

Was "Gothika" that big a flop. If you look at IMDB.com, it semems like she is slated to star in a vareity of movies. Other than the animated "Robots" (which features a lot of celebrities), none of them look to promising. Hopefully, "Foxy Brown" is just rumoured and doesn't happen. It just isn't a good idea for anyone to try and remake a movie like that. "Shaft 2000" or whatver that thing was with Sam Jackson wasn't bad, but it wasn't "Shaft" either (notice they didn't do a sequel). I just don't think you can attempt to remake "Foxy Brown".

And by the way> I just saw catwom too. In terms of Cinema, it sucked dangeling dog Balls(a la Van Wilder). But in terms of Halle Barry, it was WONDERFUL. I almost got a boner when I saw her bust and booty squeeze through those cell bars...

Be honest with yourself. It won't happen. Let it go! Let's work on making a "Black Cat" movie instead. Anyone?

It's Selina Kyle, not frigging Constance whatever her name was, the out fit is dumb looking, the CGI effects are rubbish, Sharon Stone is awful, the storyline sucks, It bares no resemblance to DC's catwoman. The whole film is a festering sore in the comic book to film genre, I thought it was that bad it could've very well spelt the end of major studios investing in comic book movies.

stinker.
