You guys, I haven't even told my family this yet....but on February 2nd I'm having breast reduction and a tummy tuck.
It's so weird, too. Everytime I go to the phone to call my parents or my sister or one of my brothers to share the news, I just can't do it.
It just sounds too crazy. As much as I am looking forward to having "the work" done, I just don't want to be one of those people who has "work done."
Does that make sense?

Yes it makes sense but unless they have the same exact problems you do, they can't understand what you're going through that's led you to this. As long as you've made this decision carefully with soul-searching and have chosen your doctor carefully, no one else's opinion matters. It's your body.
I've thought about breast reduction. Let us know how it turns out.

Maybe it would be easier to approach your sister first? then your parents. That way you'll have her support and she can speak to your parents also. Good luck flesh! I'm sure it will be fine.

i would have it done too if i could! everyone i know who has had a breast reduction has been extremely happy afterwards

hmmmm.

I'm having a few moles removed for strictly cosmetic reasons.
But I don't care--I'll tell anybody.

I look at it this way--I'm not going to avoid the beach and the sun.
But I'm willing to make it look like via good old medical science. hehe

Tell your family when you are ready.

Hope your surgery goes well. Do it for you, not for anyone else.
