I just watched this show last night... It must be so comforting to exhausted parents to see how to correct bad behavior. Everyone always says their kids will never act like that.. then they have kids. Poor parents! I'm glad they got help.

5 min...no.. less that 2 minutes is all I can stand of that show. All those screaming kids UGH! Who wants to watch that?

OMG those kids are baaaaad...one little boy flung what looked like a fischer price see & say across the room and clocked his little sister in the face something fierce...and the mother let that shit ride...I would have put some HEAT on that childs tail.

Is this like that show Nanny 911 where the nanny comes in and shows the parents how to discipline their kids.

I can't stand the kids crying in these shows!

Also can't stand to see the kids smack their parents and all they get is "Don't hit mommy" or some non-punishment..

Yes it's practically the same.

Just as we have 2 wife swapping shows (equally as horrible) and 2 Makeover your home shows (in which I just watch the beginning and see the familys woes and laugh my ass off)

It's just ridiculous the amount of cryin' and carryin' on they fit into one show... always leaves me wondering how much does a parent have to put up with on a typical day.

I would not want my face on one of those shows. I wouldn't want everyone to know how horrible a parent I was.

Part of why I watch Supernanny is to understand why these kids act this way and how to react. I don't understand my brother & sister in law's parenting style.. at all. My niece is very intelligent but can be a downright brat sometimes and *I* want to say something. She used to bite kids at day care.. and totally abuses the family dog. My brother tells her in a stern voice NOT to hurt the dog, but she giggles and does it anyway. ANd continues to do it. I want to hit my niece and show her how it feels! But my brother says hitting her would only reinforce bad behavior. So how do I deal?

Shaming used to be big when I was a kid. Is there no shame for these kids? Also, my mom used to count to three... at 2 1/2 I was behaving alright. I asked her the other day.. "what happened at three? did u ever spank me?" she said, "that's the sign of a good parent - you don't remember if i spanked you" I was sure afraid of getting to three though.. hmmm, i wonder if parents now are spread too thin that they don't give enough attention to the kids, causing them to act up?
