My cat enjoys licking plastic grocery bags Is this normal cat behavior or is my cat just nutty?

cats dig that shit. i've seen cats do that before. i guess it beats your cat licking on a big ol' crack rock or an exhaust pipe or something, i don't know.

Yeah, I've heard of cats wanting to lick plastic.

One thing: if your cat is older or shows any signs of being ill, it might be worth mentioning to the vet. Sometimes cats with kidney failure will develop strange "cravings" (pica), though they will usually actually eat the stuff, not just lick it. But there would be other symptoms as well. If not, you just have a weird cat.

My dog has a fetish for peeing on them. I think he does that because amoving plastic bag freaks him out. he gets all scared and barks like he's going to do something about it. Then, later, when the unsuspecting plastic bag is still, he does his business on it as if to say take that! I try not to keep any plastic bags around for this reason!

my cat does this too...this is normal..for a cat...someone told me there'a compound in plastic bags that either comes from fish or tastes very much like it...so that's why they go crazy over it...

my cat even gets trapped in them and starts "wearing" them...
