My grandfather died yesterday...

It sucks when someone in the family dies, my grandfather died yesterday he was 95 years old. I am going to miss him.

Hey orgers, remember to tell your family that you love them, especially parents and grandparents because they won't be here forever.

He had a long life the last few years were up and down. What I found fascinating about him was all that he has seen over 95 years, the revoultion of transportation (cars, planes), communications (tv, film, cable tv) the world communism, ww1, ww2, korean, vietnams wars. The great depression, I could talk for hours about any of these topics.

REDFEATHERS

What a great old age he lived to! woot!

How fortunate of you to spend so many good years together! big grin

And all the things he told you about and you learned from him.

How special! rose

How truly wonderful! nod

I am sorry for your loss, yes it is truly sad when you lose someone close to you! sad

But the comfort is the times you spent together, the pain will heal but I know how hard and how sad and hurtful it can be when this happens.

I'm sorry for your loss. My condolenses to you and yours. What a great privelage it must have been for you to be able to hear about all that life lived. You are very lucky. I wish I would have known my grandparents. There is lots to be learned from our elders. Some of us should take advantage of that, especially the young orgers with grandparents that are still living.

Miguel, it just proves how fast time flies, I am honored to have that time to learn what it was like to struggle through the 1930's and the great depression, in this day I hear kids complain that they can't have a cell phone...WTF!!!

Kids: Love your parents and granparents: they will not be here forever.
