also, the toast itself, it needs to be an english muffin kinda bread... something that when it toasts its nice and firm, but, lots of places in the bread to collect the butter nod

Heinz Sandwich Spread.

You're supposed to put it in sandwiches as a relish. I have no idea what it is exactly. It's white and creamy like mayonnaise but doesn't taste like mayo. It's got finely diced pickles and vegetables in it. In fact, I don't think I've ever actually thought about what it is before.

It's just really nice with cheese or on it's own.

Generally butter and strawberry jam. Once in a while peanut butter and bananas. I don't eat toast often, though.

Marmite and butter. It's nice especially hot. Allow the butter to melt and then just a little sprinkling of Marmite. drool

I also like peanut butter. Again, the toast has to be hot and just popped out of the toaster.

Honestly J.D. you NEED to do this.

Toast two crumpets.
Butter the crumpets.
Spread a thin smidgeon of Marmite on each buttered crumpet.
Spread a layer of CRUNCHY Peanut Butter on top.
Messily wipe a dollop of Philadelphia cream cheese on top of each crumpet.

It's divine.

home-made rocks! my father-in-law just gave us a jar of apricot jam, which is more like an apricot sauce - fantastic on pancakes!

It's quite thick. I'd say it's got the same consistency as a heavy chocolate mousse.

It's the savoury equivalent of a Snickers bar.

Incidentally, have you tried Snickers spread? It's vile. Far too sweet.
