What I should add to this is that these critics groups awards are usually a better indicator of who will be nominated, not who will win. Critics don't vote for Oscars. It's a safe bet that most of these folks, except Zhang Yimou, will get nods in a few weeks.

Could you post the winners for films in a foreign language, please?

Thank you!

Um, no lol This was just a cut and paste job, but you can get links to each group's whole list at the IMDB (where I nabbed this list). Hope that's helpful.

The foreign language film is a stupid category as far as Oscar is concerned. A lot of great films get ignored, because a film has to be submitted by the country. That is why Talk to Her was ineligible a few years back - Spain chose to submit a different film instead. I believe the same thing is going to happen this year with Almodovar's Bad Education.

Talk to Her won Best Script and was nominated for Best Director. Of course it could have easily won if it had run for foreign language film instead of the main competition.

I was asking cause here in Spain they say this year's entry (Amenabar's The Sea Inside) has chances even for main categories (actor:Javier Bardem or even direction, script...) shrug I don't know.

Thanks for the links though

That is what I've heard as well. This silly rule of one entry per country needs to change, because both The Sea Inside and Bad Education should be eligible.
