My friend just lost her young son a couple days ago. Her children their brother. This woman is a shining example of what is right with this world. She took custody of her brothers 2 sons and raised them as her own. She put herself last and dedicated her life to taking care of her children. Now she has lost one of them. Such a young soul surely becomes a guardian, an angel.

I pray that my friend doesn't lose touch with God and her family. I pray that she finds the sanity she needs in this impossibly insane experience. It's impossible to offer anything remotely close to console the loss but I will be true to our friendship and be there when she needs me.

From time to time I see altars set up on sidewalks dedicated to the loved ones people have lost. A friend told me about the passing of her mother "That day changed everything in my life. It made me realize the spiritual nature of everything. Everything is a spiritual situation." In the hustle bustle of our busy lives we sometimes lose sight of this truth. I'd like to dedicate this thread as an altar with which to offer love, light and peace. Please say a prayer. Thank you.
