Yeah, the half year contract I had was not renewed because business is slow and they rather hang onto some lazy people instead of new puppies.

Oh, maybe I should tell you about the new job. It was all done in a week. Last year I was really negative, because i saw it coming. So I wrote an e-mail, telling them I did not expect them to renew my contract, and indeeeeed.

So even before they told me, I had a letter to another store ready. Got tipped by a really sweet friend, who works at Amsterdam Central Station's magazine stand (which are actually two HUGE stores, mainly with bestseller books and loads of mags). He told me FIVE people there had been fired for stealing, so they REALLY needed people.

Wrote the letter, dropped it off on friday, had my talk the following thursday and got hired right then and right there!
It's a very busy store, loads of silly tourists, but that is okay; I will be knackered every day just for working my butt off! I like that!

Plus the contract is waaay better than the previous one. So sod off with the American Book Center. I am going to work for an organisation, smoothly running, instead of the la-di-da-di tactics I had to witness the last half year. I love my previous job, but I always HATE to see organisations that could do better.

The new job sounds AWESOME!

As for me- the new fridge ROCKS! It's big and pretty and doesn't freeze food (excpet in the freezer) and the water is yummy and the ice maker is fun and...
