Honestly, you look ten times better without make-up.

Carrie... You ARE beautiful...with or without makeup. You do not look like a transvestite...or older than your age...you do not look "scary". You are a beautiful girl and makeup is fun!

Friggin 70 bucks for everything though, cripe! What happened to a small trip to Sephora?????

I occassionally use Lip Venom by DuWop. I also like Benefit cosmetics, they hjave a fun line, but I'm not crazy about their lipsticks. Their eyeshadow base is awesome. Lancome used to have a good one - I sold alot of that just by pure demonstration. Now I won't wear eyeshaow without the base. I'm not familiar with Paul & Joe. Are they fairly new? What are your favorite lines besides the ones you work for **CarrieLee, what are your faves? Paul and Joe are actually high fashion designers. They have a line of make up that has very retro packaging, very 40's. and I am just now receiving it in my store so I haven't really gotten 2 play with it yet. I know that the Sephora near me has only the mascara but I will have the full line. Besides my lines I also love MAC and certain things from benefit. But I must say after I tried Too Faced eyeshadow I am not as infatuated by MAC shadow as I used to be. The product I love the most is pigment cuz I love dramatic and creative looks. MAC and Tony and Tina both have great pigment. If any of u ever want anything orgnote me and I can charge send it 4 u--- but this way I can send u lotz of goodies like gifts and samples u can't get at Sephora

girlygirl said: Hello, my makeup soul mate! I used to work for Lancome cosmetics years ago and loved the training they gave me. I was a free lance makeup artist for them. I miss getting all that free makeup. I still use a lot from that line in particular. I have a closet full of makeup - lipsticks, lipliners, eyeliners, eyeshadows, blushes, face highlighters, bronzers, etc. As for Sephora, the one nearest me is pretty clean and I don't normally need any help from any of the sales people. Do you have a favorite line?
Hey me too!! I worked for Lancome about 7 years ago myself. Damn how I miss gratis. I lost my mind when I went to NY for the first time this summer . Most people come back w/ clothes...me....mostly makeup. I love it. Being a girl is the best.[/quote] I'm still hooked on Lancome. They really do have a good line. god, I could look at and play with it all day long. And I miss the HELL out of gratis. It kills me to pay for it.

Have any of you ever tried Mary Kay cosmetics? I have a sister-in-law who buys them from a cousin of mine who sells them. My sister-in-law loves Mary Kay (even though they're a bit on the pricey side for me). RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Carrie is gorgeous either way...not many people can pull off both looks and Carrie's fun flare with make-up just shows how fun and creative she is and that there is more to her than just her good looks!
Ive been told I don't look much different with or without makeup on...when I wake up in the morning I look the same as I do mid-day...my friends all hate me for it

Some girls have extreme vanity issues and feel insecure enough to wear loads of makeup.
Absoulutely no need to wear barely any facial makeup. I know it's fun and wheres the harm and in average cases then fine. But spending hours doing it is kinda sad. Don't girls no a man is actually decent enough not to really care about the fact girls may not have makeup on? If u want to have fun and deliberately wear loads OTT style then thats great, but normally women should stay away from most of that shit. Cellulite or no? Jesus christ..... I will always stand by my MAC shadow As far as spending hours to do it being "sad", I don't see anyone complaining @ photographs in mags or women in movies Makeup is an art, it can be ugly as Tammy Faye... or beautiful as a Kevin Aucoin creation (RIP )... First of all make up is a beautiful form of artistic expression...I wear it not from insecurity but because I love using make up as a form of expression, it reflects how I feel just as clothes do. I can go from very simple to very dramatic.I DO spend lotz of time on my make up which is something I take great pleasure in doing, it is NOT a chore 4 me...it is a creative outlet that I love...Thank u 4 mentioning Kevin he is my mentor and is sooo missed
