Wear contact lenses??? I have an opticians apointment coming up soon and I am fed up with wearing glasses!! They just dont do me any justice at all and cause me 2 lose my self esteem and so I was thinking of changing over 2 contact lenses!!

Are they really worth all the trouble that people say they cause?? Are they easy 2 put in and take out every morning and night?? How do u all cope with them??

I just need my self confidence and my life back again, thats all!!

They are very easy to deal with esp now. Real comfortable too. They take about a few days to get used to them.

I do have to say Glasses ARE sexy. As I get older I realize this. I always thought my glasses were the things between me and dates. NOT TRUE!!!!

I've been wearing them for 16 years! A loong time. Thye have their pros and cons. I wear them a lot more than I wear my glasses. Glasses just get in the way, especially in my profession. I wear the soft, disposable kind. After two weeks you get rid of them and move on to the next pair. You don't have to worry about cleaning them every night like you did at one time. I just put them in saline solution every night when I take them out. I wouldn't get the extended wear kind. I don't know if they're even still available, but they don't really come clean and they irritate the hell out of your eyes because they're not getting enough oxygen.
They're easy to put in and take out after you get used to them, which doesn't take long, I 'm so used to them now it's second nature.
I think they're totally worth it. Sometimes my eyes might sting a little or get a little irritated, but that's normal. I still have my glasses to give my eyes a break from them or if I'm just too lazy to get up and put them in. I like being able to just slap on my glasses if I fell like it.
I think you'll be happy with them. It's one of the best things I did for myself. I say go for it.

I have contacts that you can even wear when you sleep
They're supposed to be renewed weekly
but i usually wear them for about 1,5 months , they're ideal !
I can't remember how i coped without them
No more difficulties with putting them in and out every day , which
sucks if you have such bad eyesight as me

The manufacturor is called Acuvue , but i guess there are plenty more
They're ideal for me !

I am just fed up with hiding behind this glass prison!!

I have been wearing them since I was 12 and never had any problems.
