Giving Directions

You know when someone stops you and asks you for directions to get to a certain place?

Have you ever given them the WRONG directions, on purpose before... like, for fun?

Oh yeah. But then I get all guilty thinking I'm gonna see them a while later and they'll give me a belt for leading them the wrong way!

Yeah, or on a wild goose chase. A wild goose chase sounds like fun though! giggle

I often direct people to the way of pain, ignorance, sorrow and destruction.

No need to. When I am trying to be helpful and give people the correct directions, that is when I end up sending them totally the wrong way. Why try, when it comes so naturally ? neutral

I've never done this intentionally, but it might be fun!

I've been tempted, but I've never done it because I wouldn't want someone to do it to me (well maybe as a teenager - it seems like it's funny then). I live in Philadelphia, so people are ALWAYS asking me for directions to either Pat's Steaks or Geno's Steaks, which we're famous for - you know -Philly cheesesteaks.

Oh God yes.

Here in Tampa, the streets are so fucked up, it makes it even funnier.

Espeically if it's people who are asses about it.

If it's a sweat old couple or something, I would never do that.

This just confirms my instinctive distrust of ever asking anyone for directions.

I often say "There's a road up ahead that vears off to the left and that goes past a farmhouse. That road will go for another 5 klm then you'll come to a fork in the road This goes on for about 5 minutes....but you don't want to go that way! Go this way! then I start telling them about another way for another 5 minutes biggrin

No...i usually give it very quickly and walk off..well datz when itz some stranger in a car...u can blame unsolved murder showz for dat one!!! And i never go 2 close to da car either!! But no, i dont give da wrong directionz, cause i know when i'm lost i appreciate somebody tellin me where i'm supposed be going instead of wandering around aimlessly and ending up very pissed off and wishing i knew where da hell i was heading...and then hours will go past and i'll be lost like someone lost in a dessert omfg

Dat can't be good now, can it hmph!
