Was it covered with leaves when you found it ? Yes, it was running around the garden the day before and I went to give it some ham but it ran away and we found it the next day buried beneath these leaves..

You make sure you cover it well with leaves so it keeps dry and warm during the cold and rain. If you'd like to do it a favour put a plastic chair or table over it! Futuristic Fantasy

He's a cutie I was walking around a nature preserve a few years ago and a hedge hog jumped out of nowhere and was hissing and baring its teeth at me... I just laughed because he was so little that he couldn't do anything to me. He was a brave little guy!

awwww how sweet! what a little cutie. just how'd he decide that was the best place to zonk out, though? did weariness simply overcome him and poof! he's hibernating where he fell?
i think he could use some cover to protect him from weather and predators. a nice box or something atop his little bed. awww [Edited 1/10/05 10:32am]
