You can't automate everything. Google's search results are constantly being skewed by black hat SEO's. Their news could just as easlily be tampered with as well, if people become as equally determined to do so.

Amazon's technology is amusing, but it really doesn't tell me anything about myself (my interests) that I don't already know. When I buy a CD or a book, it's pitching stuff to me I'm already aware of or own.
