i think the judges should compile their favorite tracks from all the entries and make a mix CD of their own from what we send them. or is that complicating things?

To this day my favorite mix I ever made was on a 90 minute tape back in 1995(ish)...I have since turned it into a 2 CD set, but it's just not the same

Nope.No tape.
But you can send them via web. Cheaper and much faster. 2 entries have already been sent that way

I think I've got my mix ready! Just gotta listen through another time or 2 to make sure and then burn 'em.
Just a warning, though: it's unapologetically girly (but in a good way, I think) and a bit personal and not quite as diverse as my usual mixes, but it's what I've been listening to lately.

I found this information on a website:

Right-Mouse click on any of the newly added tracks, except #1, and look for a choice similar to "Edit Audio Properties." When that dialog box opens, make sure that you enter the length of the gap between tracks as "00:00:00". This will change the disc from Track-At-Once, to Disc-At-Once and will remove the 2-second gaps! (I say "similar" because, different versions, use different phrasing.
