Yet another one of my friends, who is female gets dumped by someone who is in his 20's.....

my freind is 18 and he was 26. I told her but she ignored me. He just left her out cold.....
What I'm saing is why do girls go after older guys?

As u may know, that example is not extreme at all, but still wrong.

I knew a girl who lost her virginity at 14 willingly 4 het boyfriend of 32!!! Guess what? Some girls r so desparate as a teen it is just pathetic.....

I'm more curious as to the other side of that coin: why do guys go after women who are ALOT younger than they are??...

As for why girls go after guys a lot older than they, my opinion is that in many cases an 'older man' makes the girl feel special, like "Oh he picked ME!"

Also many older men usually have a few more material things to their name, be it money or cars or whatever.

Mostly though I think it's the cache of being with an 'older man'.

Guys who go for much younger women - easy. Makes THEM feel young, younger women are considered more "desirable and sexy" (ego boost there for the men), and lots of younger (materialistic or shallow or who have an agenda) women willingly will accomodate the older men if they think there's something in the deal for THEMSELVES.

There was this program on t.v about men from the U.S going to other coutries to prostitute little girls like 10 and under. This little girl around six asked this man if he wanted "boom boom" which mean oral I think.

In all sincerity, when women/girls go after men who are a lot older than they are, I think it's usually a case of seeking a father figure, trying to attain their father's love and attention which they never felt the received during childhood and while growing up.

1) Money
2) Maturity
3) Older men have a plan in life

I personally love younger women--they're so cute and niave. And alot of them still want to beleive that love is the most important thing in life.

Naive eh? that's pretty dangerous if u ask me.....girls r asking 4 a brokenheart to go after an adult in their early teens, as I have seen a couple of times now. Girls get a grip!

And yes, I like that their niave and trusting. It's very attractive.

Older women are great too, but they set the playing field much more evenly and intimidate me alot.... alot.

I don't like the idea of children dating adults, and that has more to do with mentality than physical age...
But once you reach a certain maturity, age is only a number. I once fancied dating a man many years my senior. It wouldn't have worked (for other reasons) so ultimately I decided not to, but I don't think it would have been a big deal.

No seriously it depends on individual circumstance I guess, but most men just want the control. And yet girls take this?

I always get hit on by younger women for some reason. I look a bit younger than my age.....but it's bit embarressing when a 18 year old is flirting with you.

When I was 24-25 I dated a girl younger than me by a few years. My last g/f was years younger than me.
