SNOW! do you wish you had snow where you live?

yeah, well... get those romantic notions out of your head.

by my backdoor

knee high - there is a sidewalk in there somewhere

lots of shovelling!!!

thankfully this kind of snow storm does not happen very often, but when it does the only way you can get around is on foot walking down the middle of the street through the snow. cars get stuck, in fact i just went out to push someone who was stuck in front of the house. rolleyes

might be great for skiing, but there are no damn mountains here! flip u i'm cold and sick of shovelling

oh yeah, and happy f'ing new year

Even seeing those pictures of all that snow makes me want some snow here smile I love it, and I get nasty looks anytime I say it. Of course, I like to appreciate it from the inside out. I don't want to be out in it - I just like seeing it from my window.

so's BBQ sauce right?

i find it quite laughable that texas and arkansas got snowstorms and here in northwestern NY we got rain, followed by dry, warmer weather, and for the next 2 days it'll be 55 degrees. Irony. Then again it seems everywhere else I've lived, all known for their winters, are without much of a winter currently.

30 degree heat gets boring after a while. I'd love some snow. Gets a little dry here sometimes.

All day we've had a wintery mix of freezing rain, sleet and what sounded like hail (accompanied by thunder and lightening), topped off by snow later. Driving was awful. I'm surprised I made it home.

No. I spent the first 26 years of my life living in New England and the Midwest, and I've had enough snow to last me a lifetime.

I'm glad I didn't try to visit my parents for the holidays... they were buried under 18 inches of snow, and many roads were impassable. I probably would have wound up in an airport hotel room on Christmas.
Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position.

I just spent my first Christmas in southern Texas, Harlingen area. I just moved from the Chicagoland area. Some parts of that area had over 26 inches of snow in one day.

Ironically, Brownsville, Texas had 2 inches of snow on Christmas day. This was the first time it snowed here in 105 years.

I guess I brought the snow with me.
