LORD OF THE RINGS - THE EXHIBITION http://www.powerhousemuseum.com/lotr/ ...I went and saw this yesterday it's AMAZING! it's so cool you see everything from "Anduril" to how they made Treebeard and so many other things! They have the real costumes the actual actors wore (Cate Blanchett's "Galadriel" gown was amazing - covered with crystals which you don't see in the movie) it's awesome!!

These were real props, costumes, swords etc that they used in the films so for a Tolkien/LOTR fanatic like me it was heaven lol

It's at the Powerhouse Museum till the 31st March and it's DEFINATELY well worth seeing

Wow That really looks cool. Do you know if they have any plans to bring this exhibition abroad ? (couldn't find it on the site).
Which one did you find the most awesome? You don't scare me; i got kids

Amazing exhibition, I loved it.
I think one of the most incredible props was the dead Boromir in the boat. I've never seen such a lifelike dummy before. It really did look like Sean Bean lying there, to the point that you expected him to open his eyes at any minute!

(if the prop Sean Bean was anything to go by, anyway ) I thought the big Treebeard was awesome, too!

I have no idea where the exhibition is going after it closes here at the end of March, sorry maybe email NewLine Cinema or go to thier website and they might have something? or www.lordoftherings.net ? ...I loved all of it!!! even the artwork on the walls and the banners above were awesome! (they were in the movie, too, did you know? I asked I'm such a LOTR dork) my absolute fave's tho were seeing "Anduril" Aragorn's sword and Arwen and Galadriel's gowns...they were absolutely magical

Sweeeet! I saw a similar exhibition for Star Wars a while back, and I'd love to see a LOTR one. In fact, I'm sure the LOTR one is even better, just because of the pure beauty of many of the costumes and sets. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Star WARS does not equal Star TREK. Don't worry, I won't hold it against you...after today, anyway.
