momma left today.... i spent almost 3 weeks with her this holiday season. i thought everything would be ok when she went, i walked her out to the car, gave her a hug... then burst into tears i just really have so much fun with her, shes such an awesome person... more like my best friend than my mom.. anyway, its gonna be almost 4 more months till shes back im depressed now

Awww... That's very sweet... It's nice to hear when parents and their children get along so well that they're viewed in such a loving way.

My mom didn't even recognize me when I went to visit her over Xmas... She didn't know I was arriving, I was supposed to be a surprise, her "Xmas gift"...my sister told her that her xmas gift wouldn't be arriving until Sunday, which was when my plane got in, early Sunday morning.

So..my brother picks me up at the airport, and brings me back to my mom's place...it's like 7am, and she just woke up right before I got into her apartment. My sister goes back to my mom's room, knocks on the door, and says "Mom...your xmas gift is here, out in the livingroom...come see!" My mom comes out, looks around the corner out into the livingroom, looks at me for a moment...then looks back over at my brother and sister...

...then shrugs.

So, thinking that my mom's not too impressed with her "gift"..lol...I walk over to her, and say "Hi, mom" and smile...then she finally realizes who I am, breaks into a big smile and yells out my name, and hugs me for like 5 minutes straight...(whew) ...she later said that since she was expecting a "gift", she was confused as to who this other person was standing in her livingroom...she said she thought I was the delivery guy.

Don't you love moms...

she is an amazing woman ( even now ) and we laugh and cry and i learn from her still
