The thread about Pepsi and Coke prompted me to create this one...
Is anybody familiar with this brand of cola ??? It´s a German brand created in the 70´s , quite popular back then til they disappeared in the early 80´s . They came back in the mid 90´s , but only sold in small bottles at clubs and in record stores and such..
Then another company bought the rights and started seling it in supermarkets ( big bottles, less caffeine).
The special thing about AfriCola is the strong cola taste and its unusually high caffeine content..250 milligram in one small bottle, which is the equivalent of five cups of coffee.
So right now, there are two different versions on the market, old and new formula.
Do you have AfriCola in, say, the USA, UK, Spain, Italy, Japan or elsewhere, or is it mainly a German thing ?? ( The Germans also invented Fanta when they ran out of Coke ingredients during the war).
Another strong cola is Fritz Cola from Hamburg, 280 mg caffeine in one small bottle.
OK, all you cola enthusiasts, is anybody overseas familiar with these brands ?

i remember AfriCola from back in Germany, but i haven't seen it anywhere here in the States.
