The movie White Noise.... Those trailers really freak me out. Even the website creeps me out.

He told us how, when he was little, he was visited daily by some person who always appeared when he was in his bed getting ready to sleep, who just sat in the corner of the room and talked to him (asked him how his day was at school, if he had been a good boy, how his parent and sister were etc. just pretty normal questions...) This person always ended the conversation by walking past him saying he couldn't look at him or else he'd be very angry... This went on for years and just one night the dude thought "fuck it" and peeked from under his sheets saw nothing but got a hard slap in his face and it never happened again... Now about 15 years later we went there for 4 days just to see if we could record something weird there, so we set up a TV screen plugged it in turned it on and setup a video camera opposite of it to see if it would record some weird shit from the TV, we setup mics around the place and in his former bedroom to record "anomalous" sounds and shit... Well after 4 days the only really weird thing we recorded was about 40 seconds of uncomprehensible whispering and talking with a child's voice responding to it in one of the mics in the bedroom, which pretty much freaked the guy who grew up there out, we still haven't watched about 36 hours of the TV footage (watching static isn't exactly what we do for fun...) so who knows what we'll find more but I'm sure it'll be nothing... But who knows... But if you ever want to do something like this yourself just place a camera opposite your TV set (turn it on to static or just leave it off) and record the screen for some hours, who knows what you'll find (most frequencies in TV's pick up strange artifacts and anomalous energies...) I don't know, I think Michael Keaton is a great actor. If the movie is not worth the price of admission, I will be suprised -- the subject matter is not something I've really thought about -- interesting. [Edited 1/6/05 10:56am] | |
