Is it suppose to take awhile for your bid to show up? I made a bid and it said I haven't made a bid.

Speaking of a person who buys way too much crap off Ebay, I can tell you with certainty your bid should show up immediately on the actual item description page but might take an hour or so to reflect itself in the number of bids listed on the page that comes up when you do a search for a particular item.

Ebay is evil and addicting.

Yes, you don't have to send the payment right that second - they are pretty reasonable people! Best thing to do is read the Help pages - they are very informative.

I have only purchased a couple things from ebay, and I always use paypal so I pay right on the spot, its just ensures speedy delivery, I am not so good at waiting for things

If you bid it should appear immediately on the actual item's description page.
Sometimes it can take a while to show up on the 'items found' list though.
(but that doesn't matter, as long as it shows up on the item's main page)

As long as you pay within a day or two of the auction ending you should be fine.

Yes, but if you outbid someone else's highest bid, they get the option of increasing their max bid. If you do it all at the last minute, they don't have time to do that.

I kept putting in numbers and every number/price I put in was outbid.
