Words you love to hate... I hate it when people say "Q-pawn" instead of "coop-pawn" Coupon! Where is the "cue" part coming from??? It's not called a chicken queue-p. I can't STAND when people write "alot". It's A LOT. And what the hell is metrosexual ? Does anybody know because I still haven't figured this one out? Is it even a word? It sounds lame if you ask me! "Any man who is under 30, and is not a liberal, has no heart; and any man who is over 30, and is not a conservative, has no brains."

Well I thought this thread was going to be more vulgar and I was thinking of "cunt" I know some hate the word, no offense intended. This is more about taking back the word, Vagina Monologues-style... [Edited 12/31/04 5:54am]

here in the South, they LOVE to say "might could" - "i might could do that"... drives me nuts!
and then there is the ever-popular "pacific" for "specific" - "can you be more pacific?"... i'm never sure whether to laugh or cry at that one. and don't even get me started on "heighTH" - it's lengTH, widTH and heighT. and then again, there are these things, and there's world peace. i think i'll try to put in in perspective next year...

I hate it when people here in the UK, particularly chavs say 'I didn't do nothing' or as they say it, 'I din't do nafink'. Not only is it grammatically terrible it is two double negatives, thus suggesting that they did do something!! [Edited 12/31/04 5:56am]

I don't know if theese are reginal, but I never heard them before moving to maine: All Stoved Up= any type of injury or damage "I hit a pole and the trucks all stoved up" Right out staight= working very hard "we were right out straight pulling in the traps before the storm" Never liked the expression Honey-do for when a wife asks a husband to do a chore the ass should have taken care of already. a "honey-do list" [Edited 12/31/04 5:58am] Now I'm older than movies, Now I'm wiser than dreams, And I know who's there
