Harshness of teens these days...

I'm 14, and boy, I'll tell ya, I'm downgraded a lot because I like Prince. I am also downgraded because I'm not pleasing to the eye, which sucks because that's unchangable, I just wonder if some people have hearts though. I know most of you are adults, and was it this bad back in the 70s and 80s, and for anyone my age, is it like that everywhere, or just where I live? mad sad

People suck dude. The sooner you realize that, the better you'll be, just don't
worry about it. Live your life.

Yeah, I realized that a while ago. I have depression problems though and sometimes it's hard, ya know?

Teens are fucking insane nowadays.

We have a teen club in Ybor city called club bling. Tampa has had to increase it's police precense for that one club alone.

I mean, back when I was a teenager, you only had to worry about us smoking some joints and slam dancing. Shit has gotten fucked up lately.

I think I deserve respect from the teenage community because unlike everyone else, I don't judge people by physical appearance (much of which everyone else does) and are willing to accept and take in anyone no matter what they look like. I don't know, that's not to "cool" though.

Maybe I'm just too mature? confused

Kids can be very cruel, and this has been going on throughout time, I'd imagine. I'd get pushed around by big, stupid jocks for wearing plaid tights, of all things. Just know, it gets better. comfort

R U ugly?
Or do U just not look like a teenage supermodel?

Appearence is something ANYONE can improve. I look tons better now than I ever did when I was in highschool and most of it is due to nutrition, working out, and knowing what to wear.

In the end, as an adult, we stop worrying so much about appearance and (AT LEAST AS MEN) we start looking at securing jobs we can brag about. SO the peer pressure never goes away--it just morphs, becomes more refined, and much much more expensive.

Between 14 and 16, things really kind of suck. Between 17 and 18, you're preparing for life, and after highschool, it will all seem like a dream.

I'm not going to lie to you.

Looks are important. People who say they aren't, are people who arent' good looking.

That being said, you don't have to look like a supermodel--You just have to take care of your appearance, be in shape, and EXHIBIT CONFIDENCE. At 14, that's very tough, so I actually almost feel for you.

But these years don't go on forever.

One Day you'll look yourself in the mirror and wish you looked like you did when you where a teenager. For me, I plan to push that day as far back as possible.

There is no thing like perfection. Attitude is half of what people perceive perfection to be.
