Speak English

How do we all communicate so well, when even if we can all speak English, certain words can mean differing things.

If I said "pants", I'd be talking about underwear but other people seem to be talking about trousers.

A "vest" to me is an under-shirt but a lot of people use it to mean a waistcoat.

It's all very confusing.

I actively try not to use local slang and try to stick to universal English words when posting on here because I know how easy it is to get misunderstood.

All I know is that Lleena told me that "git" means "a really cool guy."

The funny thing is i understand more (all) of what you are writing than that i understand of the many dialects they speak over here.
