Here's a concept painting for the superman suit. Apparently, the symbol is going to be raised, a'la the webs on Spider-Man's costume:



Also, there is a rumour that Jude Law has screen-tested for a role. It may be General Zod (as one rumour claims the villian will be), or Brainiac (as others are claiming).

I also heard a rumor that JediMatster has an anatomically correct blow up doll of Stan Lee hidden under his mattress.

I seriously doubt that Routh will be as good as Reeves, but that doesn't mean that a new film shouldn't be made (Reeve, before his death, was actually involved in the development of this flick. He wanted new films to be made with the character). Bryan Singer is a fan of the Donner original (and the Donner's are producing this one), and claims that this one will be very much in the vein of the first two. Its not a remake, nor is it a sequel. Its just a new Superman adventure, and I'm cool with that

You would think after Daredevil bombed , Elektra will suck.. they will stop with the damn superhero movies already! But I suppose the success of Spiderman has ruined it all. Now we can expect: another Superman, another Batman, the Fab4... and those are just the ones I know about. If anything, I'd want to see a Superfriends movie.. wonder woman, wonder twins and gleek!

Daredevil didn't bomb. it turned a nice profit. Even if it had, plenty of other comic films have been incredibly successful (X-Men, X2, Hellboy, Blade, Blade 2, Blade:Trinity, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, The Hulk, Batman, Batman Returns, Superman, Superman II. Need I go on?). Not all these were great films, but they all were movies that did well at the box-office.

At this point, comic book adaptations are a bona-fide sub-genre, and the interest in them doesn't appear to be waning anytime soon.

As for your hope for a "Superfriends" film, don't count on it. The show was just a kiddie-fied version of The Justice League as it is (somewhere, way down the line, a JLA film might get made, but even that would be difficult). Wonder Woman will be getting her own film soon, but the Wonder Twins and Gleek are more despised by comic fans than Jar Jar, so I kinda doubt it.

Why would somone at the WB, use the first Batman movie's belt on Superman? I don't even think the studio has a final suit yet. As early as this movie is in the works, until I see a pic with Brandon in it, the suit ain't finished.

I just hope they do the suit proper... unlike another movie coming out this summer.
