January 2005 Happy New Year!
Wow, what a great year we have in store. The planets, for the most part, will get along very harmoniously with one another-that is not always the case! Happily, this will be a year that will allow you to follow your own agenda, and you won't be continually pulled away to focus on outside events not of your choosing. As a result, you'll likely have a solid feeling of accomplishment at the end of 2005. One of the most beautiful configurations of the year will be the interplay between Jupiter and Neptune, which will bring faith, hope, creativity and inspiration back into the picture. Instead of assuming the flow of your life will be more of the same old routine in 2005, you can actually imagine, and realize, something far better. These two Titans of the planetary lineup will be active until mid-August. Later, Jupiter will work in a rare "mutual reception" with Pluto, once Jupiter moves into Scorpio in late October. This happens whenever one planet is traveling in the sign that the other planet rules, and together the two planets act as buddies to bring out the best qualities in each other. Jupiter rules Sagittarius, and that's where Pluto will be based until 2008. Pluto rules Scorpio, and that's where Jupiter will be until late 2006. These planets are both associated with the financial side of life, so your bank balance may take a robust upturn at the end of the year-if you take special steps to make that happen. Certainly these two planets will be behind you. This is not the only mutual reception going on in the heavens-Uranus, the planet of exciting, unexpected events, is doing a mutual reception with Neptune, a process that started a couple of years ago and will continue through the decade. It is unusual to have such important outer planets be so supportive. This truly strengthens a chart! January should be a strong, powerful month to get ahead. If you were frustrated in December, you weren't alone-most of us found Mercury retrograde last month to be unusually difficult. Mercury, the planet in charge of communication and shopping, finally regulated its orbit on December 20, so things began to improve and will continue to do so in early January. What's exciting about January is the conglomeration of planets in Capricorn. Saturn will be standing across the skies, however, staring at the Sun and new moon, so there will be obstacles. I outline those for you, and provide ideas of how to get around them in your January forecast. If you didn't pick up your free monthly forecast on Astrology Zone, http://astrologyzone.com, please do, because it is waiting for you to read! Note that one of the sweetest days of the month should be Friday, January 21, when Jupiter will align with Mars-yes, just like in the song "Aquarius." For each person, this aspect will occur in a different part of the chart, so check your forecast to see the type of opportunity that is likely to arise for you. It should be a sweet day to watch. Each month brings its share of hard days too, and January 13 might turn out to be a tough one for us all because the Sun and Saturn will oppose one another then. Traditionally, that's usually a draining day, physically or mentally, and in the latter case, you may find that someone will be quite demanding or critical of you. Should this be true, don't let whatever is said to lower your confidence. Saturn, as the taskmaster planet, wants you to see things in an objective, matter-of-fact way. If Saturn feels you have missed something you need to know, you will hear something, but try not to take things too much to heart. You could just sail through the day fairly easily. If you do have a hard time, know that things will improve in a day or two. Susan Miller | |
