JonBenet Ramsey - Ur verdict?

Did u feel the father had something weird going on or was it vast miscunduction on the case itself? Watching it right now. I read the book and the father looked really guilty ..especially the ramsom note theory.

Ur thoughts?

Is it still unsolved? Is this an inside job? Who knows. Where's the forensics evidence? Will we ever know the truth?

I honestly think the mother did it, but who knows....I actually went to school in Boulder and the house is literally two or three blocks from campus....it's on the same street and two blocks down from my ex's sorority house.

actually, another very similiar case happened recently (where the girl lived this time)...

i guess she was molested in the same manner that jon benet was.....the household had set the alarm a good couple hours and said goodnight to the girl prior to bed so theres solid proof that that attempted murderer hide for hours inside the house before he attacked (which was always the polices sticking point to put the blame on the parents...cause, who would wait hours to attack..cha know?)..

well, now everybody around that area is starting to direct attention away from the parents....sorta sad cause i always figured one of the two did it.....can you think of the suffering they have had to endure? hopefully the fucker will be caught soon..and hopefully its not one of the parents and they will be able to move on with their lives, finally..

I think both parents have something to do with it.. I lean more towards the mother.. i think its a disgrace, that nothing has been done to solve these cases! Its disgusting!

I used to believe that it was fairly cut and dry that one of the parents were involved...until I saw a special on one of those newsprograms about it.

The Boulder police department botched things so badly its amazing. They immediately decided it had to be a parent, even though there was forensic evidence of an intruder (including a footprint made by a shoe not worn by any member of the Ramsey household, as well as foreign DNA found under JonBenet's fingernails). It seems they primarily based their "inside job" idea soley on the fact that the only window that was open was covered with a spider-web. They reasoned that the web would have been torn down if an intruder had come in through the window, so they ruled it out. Problem with this idea is that it takes spiders very little time to make a web. In fact, some species of spiders can weave a complete one in about an hour. If the intruder tore down the web in the middle of the night, the spider could have easily built a new, complete one by the morning.

All that having been said, I still think the Ramsey's are pretty messed up. Dressing your daughter up like a prostitute and parading her around in "beauty" pagents is pretty sick. Doesn't make them killers, however.

ok so about 5 years ago I went out on the web and looked at the autopsy pics of this little girl. don't ask, I guess I really needed some concrete something and this is what I saw.

I saw a baby in a little pink nightgown with a rope dug into her neck about 1/4 of an inch, at the end of the rope was a stick. the rope was twisted. a garrotte.

I saw a close up of the wounds in her neck caused by the rope and the puncture that was on her chest- i think.

I saw her little panties--cry

I came to a conclusion right there

erotic asphyxiation

this child was killed in a sexual manner.

there were rumors of a sexual predator in Boulder during this time.

A mother would have beat the child to death or something more akin to child abuse I think.

the father? I don't know, but I think he would have covered her and not carried her upstaris when he found her with her little panties dangling around her ankle.

sad that someone got away with this.

poor baby--she was a pedophile's wet dream.

I don't believe the parents had anything to do with this, John Ramsey has enough money to act out his sexual paraphilias on someone not so close.

that's just my opinion.

Barbara Walters: "Why wasn't the body exhumed?"

John Ramsey: "(PAUSE) Don't know why the Police didn't consider that. Uh we were asked when this theory first surfaced about a Stun gun that if the body were exhumed it could be proved conclusively but it had to be done fairly quickly. This was within months of when we'd just buried JonBenet. And I, as her father, could not bring myself to do that. I had laid my child to rest. She was at peace. And that was a that decision I couldn't make."

Barbara Walters: "Even though it might have cleared you?"

John Ramsey: "It wasn't that was not the priority. The priority was my child was at rest."

2000 March 20 - In Their Own Words - John and Patsy Ramsey Chat Live on ABCNEWS.com

ABCNEWS.com's Buck Wolf: "You say you want to find the real killer. But you declined to exhume your daughter to find out such things as whether a stun gun was used against her. Can you defend that decision, when experts say that there's a good chance they could still test for stun gun marks?"

John Ramsey: "Experts have told us conclusively that a stun gun was used in the murder of our daughter. As her father, who had just painfully laid her to rest, I could not make the decision to disturb her. That is not a decision that a father should be asked to make"

October 4, 2002 8pm DST CBS 48 Hours Investigates - Searching for a Killer

Erin Moriarty: "Wouldn't that have been or the best way to know or coming the closest to knowing is if you could have exhumed the body and line up a stun gun and see if it matches those injuries?"

Lou Smit: "Sure, I believe that would have been the most accurate way to do it."

Erin Moriarty: (Voice Over) "Lou Smit admits that in the months following JonBenet's death investigators considered going to court to have her body exhumed but decided against it."

John Ramsey: "We had buried our child, she was in peace, that was just a horrid thought"

Erin Moriarty: "But John that might have been the one way to know for sure, that could have resolved the whole issue because if a stun gun was used it was not the parents."

John Ramsey: "Certainly and we've got people who told us who know what they are doing that with 95% medical certainty that a stun gun was used. No question."

Erin Moriarty: "But you would have known with a hundred percent with certainty if you had exhumed the body, as tough as that would have been."

John Ramsey: "That's my child you're talking, not a body, it's different."
