hmmm not sure about that, either...

It has absolutely nothing to do with height. He talks about a sense of dominance but he absolutely wants the appearance of it as well. It's some ego shit really IMO razz

don't konw about him...but i liek both. everyone sometiems wants to just give in and not be the responsible one right? or let soemoen take care of THEM for a change instead of them take care of everyoen else ...well that's kinda submitting. i lvoebeing the dominant one too 'cause i'm so damn independent and stubborn...good thing my hubby's the best of both worlds lol. smile awwwww ::kusjes voor mijn meneer liefje::

How many women like to date shorter men? or skinnier men?

Well, I'm shorter and skinnier than Melissa. It's never been an issue for me, and as best I can tell, it's not an issue for her either. So I don't worry about it.

I've been ID'd going into a PG-13 movie.

Wow. comfort The PG-13 rating (which, like all MPAA ratings, is a voluntary industry thing and is not a matter of law) is not supposed to be a restrictive rating like R or NC-17. It's simply intended as a warning to parents.

I'm sure when I'm 45, I'll love being ID'd everywhere, but at 19 it's a pain in the ass.

It's interesting... until recently, not counting places that ID everyone (e.g., nightclubs) and places where they know me, my chances of getting ID'ed when ordering/purchasing alcohol was about 50/50. These days, though, they're more likely not to ask. (Perhaps it's partly because I'm mostly a wine drinker... how many underage drinkers order a glass of Merlot?)

And yet, this past weekend, at a rave, most people thought I was about 21. shrug One guy even guessed 18. eek (My real age: 26, almost 27.)

This could be all in my head but I really do feel like taller women are treated a little rougher than other women, as if we're not as delicate or sensitive b/c of our size confused It's as if they associate size w/ toughness or maleness or something. hmm That could add to some level of intimidation (if tall women are characterized as initimidating at all - I know that's not what you're saying, I'm on another tangent)...

And I think smaller people probably are more belittled or treated like children b/c of their size & the association w/ kids.

I could be totally talking out of my ass but I really do feel like this happens...

mad

I think what you're saying is valid. You admit that it's not based on formal research, but I'm sure it's based on your own life experience and what you're supposing of course makes a lot of sense from a psychological point of view. You may well be right. smile

If I had to make a supposition I'd probably go with something like u've said.

Stupid as it is, it does seem to make sense.

All the theatres in my area ask for ID if they don't think you're old enough and show up without an adult. Guess that'll teach me to go see Pirates of the Carribean without my Mommy. tease

Wow.

I'm ID'd pretty much everywhere, and probably will be for some time. I have an aunt who didn't stop being asked for ID until she was 40!

My ex is 6 foot and I am 5'7". Height was never a problem except at first when it felt "different". None of our friends or family had a problem with it. I mean, we could hold hands and have "relations" and that's all that mattered to us. smile

Back in the days before you needed a photo ID to fly, my mother was refused a beer at an airport bar during a layover in Denver. She was 38 at the time, and the bar had a policy of requiring ID from anyone who appeared to be under 40.
