I hear ya there. I got mine done back in March '04 and they still have an issue healing from time to time. Sometimes, I don't even notice they're there (unless someone touches them in an invited way), then other times they bother the hell out of me. Plus, meow85, like you, my left one hurt more than the right and was done last. I figured the woman went through too many of the wrong nerves or something...

I guess I could try the barbells now instead of hoops.

I only got one done, about 2 and a half years ago. I think it looks good! It definitely didn't FEEL good getting it done -- I'm no masochist. But the pain is temporary people!

xpsiter, how can we figure out what gauge the hoop is, when we get a replacement barbell?

Yes, CinisterCee. I would guess the piercer knows the guage by measurement. That way or by comparing to one they have there in-house.
