Recommend a movie for me

So, I've just bought a new Plasma TV. I'm planning to inaugurate it with a friend of mine and we have to choose a DVD to watch. She says it should be something epic, with great cinematography, but me - I'm not so much into those kinda flicks. My thing is more smart comedy (Woody Allen is a favourite), dark relationship films and/or movies with hot chicks. I also like Neil LaBute (which I guess would fall into the "dark relationship" category). We're gonna have to find some middle-ground here, folks. So recommend away, People of the Org!:

I'm not a big movie fan, but maybe "Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love" ...? Dark relationship film with good look and cinematography...somewhat epic I think

Maybe "The Godfather"...
epic, good cinematography, pretty dark...

"What Dreams May Come" has great cinematography and I would say it's fairly dark...

Jenna Jamison has done better movies, but Krystal Method has got alot of really hot babes in it. Krystal Steal is the headlining act, but we know it's all about Jenna. The boy-girl-girl scene in this one is amazing.

The best part of this movie is that it doesn't really attempt to be more than it really is--a wank fest. It goes straight into blowjobs, cunnilingus, and some often stupid sexual comments (I hate it when the exclamations sound rehearsed or acted).

But all, in all, this is a keeper!

Nah, she's not down with the sexual flicks.

Maybe "The Godfather"...

Not my scene, man.

I generally don't dig fantasy flicks. But thanks for the suggestions.

I don't know whether you're familiar with Kama Sutra but the movie isn't as sexual as the title would suggest.

Lawrence Of Arabia would be a nice mid-ground. It's an epic film but with a fine literary pedigree (script by the late great playwrite Robert Bolt). Plus it also has "dark relationships" as Lawrence got bummed by a Turkish Captain (although due to censorship rules, this is heavily implied instead of shown).

Well, I think maybe instead of being recommended a film, maybe you need to be recommended a little compromise. How about "Rocky Horror"?

Everybody I know seems to love it, but - again - I'm not a big fan of the fantasy/sci-fi type flicks.

imdb description of kama sutra

just for kicks n giggles

Set in 16th Century India KAMA SUTRA is the tale of two girls, Maya and Tara, one a lowly servant, the other a noble princess, both raised together as children. But whilst Tara is raised as a Princess Maya, as her servant, is forever reminded of her subordinate position. It is though her striking beauty and her skills of seduction learnt through the Kama Sutra, the Indian book of love, that Maya exacts her revenge on Tara by seducing her husband on her wedding day thus beginning a destructive struggle for power where revenge is the goal, but tragedy the outcome.
