I don't know if this topic fits best in this forum or in the Politics and Relgionforum. But I don't think it's a matter of politics, but of human empathy and solidarity...

So, here's what I wanted to say. I want you all to consider to donate a sum of money for the Asian people. I already know some of you will say ' What does it matter? It won't help. Those people will keep the money to themselves...It's only to take away your feeling of guilt... We could send money to every place on earth...'

Hell yeah, there may be some truth to these arguments but still... I think we could agree the majority of the people who visit this site are rich or very rich. I was astounded by the thread about the Christmas-presents everyone got, which made me realize how 'western' this thread is. There is nothing wrong with that, but still I would like to ask you all to consider to donate a small sum of money. I did donate some money. My monthly 'income' is 300 euros, and I donated 50 euro out of it.

I don't want to be moralistic, although I'm aware of the fact I may sound like that. I just want to do something about it. That's why I decided to at least start a discussion about it. I hope it works. Hugs and kisses...
