Don't worry about it; I like such a range of music it's scary. You're not alone. lol

Awesome presents; congrats! I didn't get any, but I suppose whenever my parents finally decide to show up I'll get a whole pile of stuff I don't want as always, and they'll hold against me every cent they spent on it... Wanna trade presents? wink

nod

I love Damien-listening to O now as a matter of fact.

The shows he's made appearances on like Late Late Show and Last Call with Carson Daly-his performances are just amazing.

I love how the album has such a live feel to it-such an immediate feeling.

Beautiful work.

yeah, I finally got around to listening to it today. It's immediately one of my fave albums of the year. Perhaps my fave. Almost all the songs made me bawl my eyes out...I don't usually respond with that deep of an emotion to most music, but I guess it's a combination of the fact that I just broke up with my girlfriend and also that they're just damn good songs.

Definitely taps into those emotions, you're right.

His voice has that haunting ache to it-reminds me of Jeff Buckley in that aspect that it feels like he's singing directly to you.

Haven't heard a voice quite like Damien's since Jeff to be honest.

Sort a beauty in tragedy element going in the music there.

AMEN! Damien is one of my absolute favorite performers to come out in recent years. "Amie" reduces me to tears instantly. The line "You know when you've found it ... 'cause you feel it when they take it away" may be the most honest line ever written about loss. A mix tape or CD is not complete without a song from Damien. I've turned lots of people on to his stuff. His "B-Sides" EP is great too.
