THey're in the very back of your mouth. I had both top and bottom ones taken out when I was 19 becuase I didn't want to take them out later on in life if I should need to.

Like foreskin, they're really kind of pointless.

It's impacted.
Have it removed immediately.

If you wait longer, you could get all sorts of complications.

Dry socket is not the funnest thing to get at your old ass age.

Go to the dentist and have it (and any others that are still lurking) removed. Don't try to be a superhero either; when the offer the vicodin, take it, 'cause you're gonna need it.

I've been told I have to have mine removed also. There are only 3 of them, in there somewhere, and will never come out naturally. It's such a pain. I've been putting it off for years. I hate the idea of someone doing all that in my mouth. Going to the dentist always gives me the heebie-jeebies. Of course, I've never even had a cavity, so maybe it's just all in my mind.

No, it really does suck. But once it's done, it's done. And hey, you have an excuse to be on narcotics for a week. mr.green

I've had all four for 20+ years. They never hurt. Why should I have them removed?

Any real dentist in the house?

If they've actually come in and don't bother you, you don't need to. Most of us don't have room in our mouths for them.

Seriously, get rid of them.

Mine where impacted so they had to perform surgery on me.

The cracked the two bottom ones in half and pulled the tooth out that way.
I was on perkeset for a week and despite blood on the first day, some soreness for a few more days, and always being high as a kite, it wasn't all that bad.

Oh, and the taste of your mouth healing? ew.

But seriously Milty, get rid of them.

1) You're wisdoms are coming in late -- this could cuase discomfort-- see a dentist.

2) YOu've already had your wisdoms taken out, and something else is going on--see a dentist.

3) Is it the tip of a penis in the back of your mouth? Just a thought.

YOU NEED TO GO SEE A DENTIST Beter to deal with minor discomfort now, then to deal with a whole mess later.

Yeah, it means your wisdoms aren't in. They're called "wisdom" teeth because they can wait until you're older to come in (usually in your teens or twenties, but not always).

That's prolly what your painful back tooth is. AsianBoi is right, you're gonna have to go to the dentist. They will take xrays and tell you what to do from there.

And if you don't have dental insurance, and you can possibly get it, do so before going in for the consult/xrays so that it won't be considered a pre-existing condition. Having them removed is not only painful, but expensive. Like all of the best things in life. mr.green

I'm sorry. It really does suck. comfort

It truly does suck. I had my pulled out at age 24 or something... although I only had 3 to exist. The pain beforehand, was truly the worst pain I have ever experienced... I truly wanted to chop my head off. headache (I should of)

Milty can probably go another 6 years without getting them taken out.

However, somewhere around 40 the pain gets so great, it could cuase blindness.
