All of my family members used to buy gifts for each other on Christmas, which turned out to be a hell of a lot of gifts. Due to the fact that the family is growing (all 3 of my brothers are now married, my one brother lives with two of his wife's uncles, and 2 nephews with a third baby on the way), we decided that it was time to cut down. A good idea, since most of my family members have everything they need, and are not wanting for anything, really. So for the past several years or so during Christmas, we put all of the family names (excluding the kids, since everybody automatically buys them gifts anyway), into a bowl, and everybody picks a name, but does not tell the other family members which name they got. It works out very well, because shoot, if I had to buy gifts for everyone in my family, I would wind up buying 12 presents (which is not in my budget right now). It's also nice because before we would spend literally all freakin night opening up all the gifts, now we can get it done it a shorter span of time.

Anyways, for Christmas this year I got:

A $75.00 gift card from Kohl's (which I had asked for)
A really pretty purple netting that has pouporri (sp) in it (from both nephews)
A cute Christmas tree with a magnet on the back from my nephew, Aaron
And last but certainly not least, a $200 check from my aunt. It was a very pleasant surprise receiving it, since my aunt NEVER sends me a card, let alone money. It could not have come at a better time either.
