As a kid, what was/were your favorite gift(s) that you recieved at Christmas/Hanukah? When I was a kid, I remember writing laundry list-like Christmas lists. I remember getting the huge Sears catalouge and weekly salespapers that came in the Sunday edition of the Detroit Free Press and circling nearly everything in the spread. I usually always wanted all of the Transformers. I loved the Transformers and He-Man and the WWF. When I was a little kid in the 80s, I watched Hulk Hogan and the WWF religiously and all of the kids on the block would wrestle each other and occasionally one of us got hurt really badly and had to be rushed to the hospital. (ahhhh, those were the days)
I also liked really simple and inexpensive things like crayons and Play-Do. I could color in a coloring book all day long.It seemed like whether I had put it on my list or not, I always had art supplies under the tree. But overall, I think my favorite gift that I recieved was the He-Man Castle of GreySkull. This must have been back in 1985 or something. I was 6. I was the envy of all the kids in the hood because I had every single He-Man related toy that was sold. At school, I was known as the kid that had all of the He-Man and Transformer action figures and paraphernalia. Well, what about you guys and gals?

There's no tradition of giving gifts at Hannukah, so I got nothing.
My first Christmas gift ever is on it's way I'm sooo excited

Yeah, no gifts at Hanukah, but I know some Jewish cats that love to charge it in December.

ohhhh this brought back memories. I know I was a little older, like 14 or so but my favorite Christmas gift ever was a cheap sound design cabinet stereo system. I had wanted one forever.....but I am sure up till then my Mother couldn't afford it. I was so thrilled!!!!!

Uhhmmm. . .funny, but the ones I remember are dolls and stuffed animals, exactly the crap you'd think wouldn't be memorable!
I remember a big stuffed dog that I got from my parents when I was young. I loved it so much. I wish I still had it. And I do still have a fabulous teddy bear that my aunt gave me. And porceline (sp?) dolls that my grandmother made by hand. All of the assorted "must have" plastic crap and anything I put on a list (usually books and music) I basically have no memory of.
