I don't understand what all the fuss is about Krispy Creme donuts. I've tried them before, and to me, they don't really taste all that wonderful, just average, really. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

sugar and lard - straight from North Carolina to the rest of the world!
i do have to admit, back in the day, i used to love them... although they gave me serious heartburn! i bought some for our office the other day, and the cinnamon-apple filled ones were a hit! if you have them there, give them a try!

Tim Horton's may have slipped in quality lately, but it's still 10 times more the donut chain Krispy Kreme could ever be.

They taste average to me too. Before I tried them people would roll their eyes back and gasp and moan about how good they are. They taste really good warm I'll admit, but nothing to have an orgasm about. "Nobody makes me bleed my own blood...NOBODY!"

Mmmmm...Krispy Kreme. And they do taste better than other donuts. At least the original raised glaze do; they taste better than any other donut to me! So sweet and light they almost melt in your mouth. I was super excited when we finally got them here in MN. I grew up on them in NC and missed having them readily available. There other donuts are good, but I find their original donuts to be excellent!

They are the best when that damn HOT sign is on.....I don't think they are average tasting...but they are VERY sugary....

Gotta get 'em hot...then there's nothing else that compares. I'm firmly planted in denial

Maybe that's my problem, I've never had a HOT krispycreme, just the cold ones that come in bags that you find in the grocery store. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I agree completely here. Krispy Kreme donuts don't impress me at all -- and they're all over the place out east. I grew up in Cincinnati, and there are some mom-and-pop bakeries there that put Krispy Kremes to shame. To be honest, I'd rather have a Dunkin donut...

Yes, fresh is the best. Stale donuts are just nasty. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Oooh, I just looked in my local phone book, and found a Krispy Kreme store. After I finish the diet that I'm on (just for a treat), I'm going to go to this place and try a HOT donut. Who knows, maybe I will like it better. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
