i had my first krispycreme

i'm working in harrods at the mo..and i thought..lets see what the fuss was all about.
they give a free one to every customer too!!! i wanted to try the xmas one.sugar and cinnamon..but got the free one which is the original doughnut glaced in that icing

ok...this shit is sweet...and light and yes very tasty. but it tastes like you are biting into sugar. (yes i know you are)

maybe if i try the other flavours.....
any recommendations?
i'm there all week.
and now i knpw what to get my sis for xmas.....hehehehe

I don't understand what all the fuss is about Krispy Creme donuts. I've tried them before, and to me, they don't really taste all that wonderful, just average, really.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

sugar and lard - straight from North Carolina to the rest of the world! lol

i do have to admit, back in the day, i used to love them... although they gave me serious heartburn!

i bought some for our office the other day, and the cinnamon-apple filled ones were a hit! if you have them there, give them a try!

Tim Horton's may have slipped in quality lately, but it's still 10 times more the donut chain Krispy Kreme could ever be. biggrin

They taste average to me too. Before I tried them people would roll their eyes back and gasp and moan about how good they are. They taste really good warm I'll admit, but nothing to have an orgasm about.

Mmmmm...Krispy Kreme. And they do taste better than other donuts. At least the original raised glaze do; they taste better than any other donut to me! So sweet and light they almost melt in your mouth. I was super excited when we finally got them here in MN. I grew up on them in NC and missed having them readily available. There other donuts are good, but I find their original donuts to be excellent!

Maybe that's my problem, I've never had a HOT krispycreme, just the cold ones that come in bags that you find in the grocery store.

I agree completely here. Krispy Kreme donuts don't impress me at all -- and they're all over the place out east.

I grew up in Cincinnati, and there are some mom-and-pop bakeries there that put Krispy Kremes to shame.

To be honest, I'd rather have a Dunkin donut...

Oooh, I just looked in my local phone book, and found a Krispy Kreme store. After I finish the diet that I'm on (just for a treat), I'm going to go to this place and try a HOT donut. Who knows, maybe I will like it better.
