Perfect Day I am having a wonderful day today. I don't know why I'm so gosh darn happy, but dammit I am. 
I just had a lovely brunch w/my friend Katy at my favorite brunch place called Hell's Kitchen where they host Salvation Sunday brunch with old time-y gospel music and the decor is all red and black and the wait staff wears their cute pajamas and we got a table by the fireplace and it was SOOOOO yummy. Had some English breakfast tea and a crab cake with poached egg smothered in red pepper hollandaise and fresh fruit and these uber-yummy potatoes made w/sweet cream butter and scallions and little tiny bits of peppery bacon and it was so yummy I could have died happy after. 
Then, I go to drop Katy off and low and behold I've got a flat tire on the coldest day of the winter so far in Minnesota. And I didn't really even care. We tried our best to change it, but I couldn't get the lug nuts loose so I called Triple A and they came and did it for me and now I'm home and cozy with my kitty and a few new CDs to listen to and I just love Sundays and a not really even that bothered with the car trouble.

... and you can make my day great too ... I've often wondered what scallions are. I've seen it in a recipe book over here but none of my friends know either. Any chance you can describe them for me? Are they onions? | |

My day's kinda crummy. I'm super sick and last night our furnace went out. But I didn't realize it cuz I was already asleep. But when I woke up this morning it was freezing in my room. I was starting to get better yesterday but feel even worse now. Luckily, the repairman came out in a jiffy and it's warming up now. This is by far the coldest day of the year too. Wanna send some of your sunshine my way Carrie? | |

Woke up with the bottle of Bollinger and my 'dog's bollocks' trophy which made me smile.
Today has been quite pleasant. I went out and bought a Sunday paper and a pizza, listening to Vol.4 of Carrie's and Endo's CD just to check it out. It flows pretty nicely. I've just got back from the Toby Carvery where I had a roast dinner and a pint of bitter with my friends.  | |

I got the Pretty in Pink soundtrack from my Secret Santa. (Which is all music I have somewhere, but a great complation. Love it.) And my friend Katy laoned me a compilation CD from Paul Heaton of the Beutiful South with a bunch of great older tracks on it (Lee Dorsey, Al Green, Elvis Costello, stuff like that). I'm excited. |

Awww! Carrie!  I'm so happy you're having such a wonderful day! I'm sitting here half-dressed trying to get motivated to go to my mom's and take her -- she doesn't drive -- to the grocery store. Despite being butt-cold out, the sky is blue and the sun is out Also, I have a new job and Christmas is coming, so I'm pretty happy too | |

| for perfect days, I'm glad you had one My days's been good too, we got a little snow last night so I took a long walk with my dog, a friend of mine and her dog joined us
Then I've been spending some well "deserved" time on the puter since I had a very good friend visiting with me for two weeks, some alone time with music and tea
And now I'm having fun in the forums before taking a bath  | |
