I have just looked at our TV Guide for the 2 weeks of Christmas and New Years here in the UK, and, really, in my opinion, its just total crap!!! There is absolutely nothing decent worth watching!!

I think my husband and I are gonna get a huge consignment of popcorn, chocolates and candy and some cans of Budweiser in and turn 2 NASN(North American Sports Network) and watch some good games, albeit US Football, basketball and/or baseball!!!

Re-runs won't start until the Spring/Summer with the new shows starting in the Fall.

The thing is, we have Satelite TV anyway, so we have hundreds of channels, and theres NOT ONE decent programme we can watch!!

I just have cable, that's enough for me. If I get satelite I might as well quit my day job. Just too many channels on satelite for me.

I don't even bother watching TV most of the time. Just the news, sports and some Discovery Channel.

Actually we are very disappointed with our Satelite TV!! In normal times, theres nothing 2 watch!! We dont get hardly any live US programmes!! The only live US TV we get is Fox News(which starts at 11AM everyday with Fox and Freinds, due 2 time zone differences) and the Main News Headlines on CNN and live financial reports on MSNBC!! We dont get any other live US programming which we were hoping 2 get when we sigend up for Sky Satelite!! We dont get any of the other live US Breakfast shows!! We also see on NASN live US games!!
But then really our poor quality satelite TV is all the fault of Rupert Murdoch!! He owns Sky Satelite here in the UK and has part ownerships in CNN and Fox so what we get 2 see is what he owns!!
Yet we get every other International cable channels(we even get Al Jazeera!! ). We get millions of teleshopping networks, selling some product or another!! I mean who wants all of them??? We have millions of movie and sports channels as well!! I mean u can only watch one movie or sports event at a time!!!

Also we are the only country in the world that doesnt get Oprah!!

I do not usually watch TV and if I do, its because I am and zoneing out. So no matter how crap it is...its still good.

A lot of UK television is owned by Americans. GMTV is owned by Disney and then you have all the satellite/digital channels like ABC1, MTV, Nickleodeon, all the Discovery channels, the Sci-Fi channels... It's endless.

I can't see how you can complain about British telly because about 75% of it is American.

I mean, seriously. I think I have 150+ channels, and 100 music channels, I can't remember the last time I sat in my living room and watched them.

But I will say, that the porn that's been coming out lately over the Internet and through media distributions has been much better this season.
